Agriturismo Vulcano
Surrounded by olive trees, nestled in the green Calabrian hills of Mirto Crosia, only one kilometer from the sea and the white beaches of the Ionian coast, rises the Agriturismo Vulcano. Far from the city noises, the Agriturismo is an oasis of tranquility, in which nature declines its restful sounds, the only ones allowed.
Our company values are: awareness and respect for nature and human and environmental healthiness. This is why we grow our products using organic methods with low environmental impact. Everything that comes from the earth returns to the earth: this is how Nature gives us better, healthier products that bring great benefit to our health without damaging the environment.
The Agriturismo Vulcano is composed of 3 residential units, which are identified with the name of a Calabrian olive tree: Carolea, Tondina and Dolce di Rossano, for a total of 19 rooms. The rooms are double, triple and quadruple basis. All rooms are designed to accommodate both couples and families. In the common areas of the Agriturismo, Wi-Fi is available for free.
The restaurant is situated in a particularly privileged position, the large windows of the restaurant are looking over the natural landscape. During summer time the restaurant changes its looks: the gazebo area is transformed into a charming open-air restaurant for dinner. The menu pay attention to the needs of each guests, and offers solutions for every palate. In addition, we provide you with a wide selection of natural products.
The olive growers know it: in the fall, between October and November, the olive trees of the Carolea, Tondina and Dolce di Rossano varieties reach maturity. In the Agriturismo Vulcano, the olives are harvested by hand at the right point of ripeness, and subsequently cold pressed within a maximum of 24 hours from harvesting: this means that the oil is extracted in a, natural and traditional way, without the use of chemical agent. After natural decantation the olive juice is bottled. The result of this process is called: “the first pressing oil” with a sweet and delicate taste, is practically without any acidity level.
Alongs the Ionian coast, of Mito Crosia, in an area that since ancient times, has been cultivated with olive trees, Mr. Luigi Vulcano, son of olive grower, in the 1970 bought a piece of land.
The sea view swimming pool of the Agriturism is situated in the most panoramic point of the structure. This mirror of clear water will welcome you in the most sultry afternoons, for a relaxing and relaxing swim. One side of the pool is surrounded by citrus trees, while the other faces the green hills, and looks towards the sea. Around the pool you will find sunbeds and umbrellas to relax, or under the warm rays of the Calabria sun, or the cool afternoon breeze of the sea.
The Agriturismo Vulcano is the ideal destination for family with children. Playing, running in the open air, regenerating in the healthy countryside environment, observing nature and the animals that live in the farm, are just some of the many activities that children can do during their stay in our Farm.

The Agriturism Vulcano is immersed in the green hills of Mirto Crosia, in Calabria among olive groves, meadows and suggestive woods. The Agriturism Vulcano is also an ideal place for children, who will be able to learn and learn about the habits of the court animals that populate the farm: rabbits, chickens, geese and turkeys.
